The examination is conducted to recruit candidates for the following services:

Category I

UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must have passed the written and practical parts of the final MBBS examination from a recognized institution.

  • Candidates who are appearing in the final MBBS examination are also eligible to apply.

However, selected candidates must complete their compulsory rotating internship before appointment.


Age Limit

Candidates must satisfy the following age criteria:

  • Maximum Age: 32 years as on 1 August 2026

For Medical Officers in Central Health Service, the upper age limit is 35 years.

Age relaxation is available as per government norms:

  • OBC: 3 years
