The Staff Selection Commission has reopened the online application window for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 after receiving representations from candidates who could not apply within the original deadline. Candidates can now submit their applications from 23 June 2026 (11:00 PM) to 25 June 2026 (11:00 PM). More than 28 lakh applications had already been received before the reopening announcement.

The SSC CGL 2026 recruitment aims to fill approximately 12,256 Group B and Group C vacancies in various ministries, departments, and government organizations.
Why Has SSC Reopened the Application Window?
According to the official notice, SSC received numerous requests from candidates who were unable to complete their applications before the original deadline. Considering the interests of candidates, the Commission decided to reopen the online application portal for two additional days.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university for most posts.
- Age limits vary according to the post, generally ranging from 18 to 32 years.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Government rules.
