ISRO Assistant Recruitment 2026 for Graduates: 113 Assistant Posts, Online Form Starts

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has released a recruitment notification for the posts of Assistant, Junior Personal Assistant (JPA), Upper Division Clerk (UDC), and Stenographer under various ISRO Centres and Department of Space units across India. Eligible graduate candidates can submit their online applications from 27 July 2026 to 16 August 2026.

The recruitment will be conducted for various ISRO centres including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Sriharikota, Thiruvananthapuram, Mahendragiri, Hassan, and other locations across India.

Educational Qualification

For Assistant / UDC Posts

Candidates must possess:

  • Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.32 on a 10-point scale from a recognized university.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers.

For Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer Posts

Candidates must possess:

  • Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA 6.32 on a 10-point scale from a recognized university.
  • OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with 60% marks.
  • One year experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer.
  • Minimum speed of 60 words per minute in English Stenography.
  • Computer proficiency.

Age Limit

As on 16 August 2026:

  • General/EWS: Maximum 28 Years
  • OBC: Maximum 31 Years
  • SC/ST: Maximum 33 Years

Age relaxation is also applicable for Government employees, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD candidates, meritorious sportspersons, widows, and divorced women as per Government of India rules.

Processing Fee

Candidates are required to pay a processing fee while submitting the application:

  • Assistant / UDC: ₹500
  • JPA / Stenographer: ₹500
  • Multiple categories: As applicable

Refund Policy

  • Women candidates, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen will receive a full refund if they appear in the examination.
  • Other candidates will receive a refund after deduction of ₹100 application fee if they appear in the examination.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of:

  1. Written Examination
  2. Skill Test
  3. Document Verification
  4. Final Merit List

Candidates shortlisted in the written examination will be called for the skill test in a ratio of up to 1:5 based on category-wise vacancies.
