Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

  • Secondary School Examination (10th Standard): Must have passed with marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized board.

  • Local Language: The applicant must have studied the local language of the applied circle at least up to the 10th standard.

  • Other Requirements: Knowledge of computers, cycling, and adequate means of livelihood are mandatory.

2. Age Limit (as of the last date of application)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years

  • Maximum Age: 40 Years

  • Age Relaxation:

    • SC/ST: 5 Years

    • OBC: 3 Years

    • PwBD: 10 Years (up to 15 years depending on category)

    • EWS: No age relaxation

Brief Job Profiles

  • Branch Postmaster (BPM): Manages the day-to-day operations of the Branch Post Office (B.O.) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB). Includes marketing, mail delivery, and ensuring smooth office functioning.

  • Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM): Involved in the sale of stamps, stationery, and doorstep mail delivery. Assists the BPM in all postal operations.

  • Dak Sevak: Engaged in Departmental Offices, Sub-Post Offices, or Railway Mail Services (RMS) for mail handling, delivery, and marketing tasks.
