✅ Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

  • Essential: Bachelor of Law (LL.B) Degree from a recognized University.

  • Final Year Candidates: Candidates who have appeared in their final LL.B. examination on or before the last date of application (14-Dec-2025) are also eligible to apply for the Preliminary Exam. However, they must submit proof of passing before the Main Examination.

2. Age Limit (as on 1st January 2025):

  • OM / In-service Candidates: 18 to 40 Years (Not born before 01-01-1985 and not after 01-01-2007)

  • SC, ST, RBA, OBC, EWS, ALC/IB: 18 to 43 Years (Not born before 01-01-1982 and not after 01-01-2007)

  • PHC Candidates: 18 to 42 Years (Not born before 01-01-1983 and not after 01-01-2007)

3. Domicile:

  • Candidate must be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate on the last date of application.

📊 Selection Process

The selection will be a three-stage process:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type): A screening test consisting of two papers (200 marks each). There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

  2. Main Examination (Descriptive Type): Candidates shortlisted from the Prelims will appear for the Main Exam, which consists of seven papers.

  3. Personality Test (Interview): Shortlisted candidates from the Mains will be called for an interview carrying 200 marks.
