The Defence Research & Development Laboratory (DRDL), Hyderabad, operating under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, has announced a new opportunity for ITI-qualified candidates to undergo Apprenticeship Training for the year 2026–27.
This engagement is aimed at providing hands-on industrial training to technically skilled youth under the Apprentices Act, 1961, within a premier defence research establishment of India.
About DRDL Apprenticeship Training 2026–27
DRDL proposes to engage ITI Apprentices purely for one year of training, from 01 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. The apprenticeship is meant for skill development only and does not guarantee employment after completion.
Candidates will gain exposure to real-time defence research support systems, advanced workshops, and technical environments.

Candidates must possess ITI certification in the respective trade from NCVT-recognized institutes.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for DRDL ITI Apprentice Training 2026, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:

Must have passed ITI in relevant trade certified by NCVT

Should not have previously undergone apprenticeship training at DRDL or any other organization

Candidates terminated earlier from DRDL apprenticeship are not eligible

Candidates terminated twice from other establishments are not eligible

Reservation for SC / ST / OBC / PwD categories will be applicable as per rules
