The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has released an official notification for the engagement of Graduate, Diploma, and ITI Apprentices for the training year 2025–26. Eligible candidates from several northern states of India can apply for this apprenticeship program. The training will be conducted at multiple airports and AAI establishments across the Northern Region.

This is a great opportunity for candidates who want to gain practical experience in the aviation sector under the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961.

AAI Apprentice Vacancy Details

AAI is inviting applications for apprenticeship training in multiple engineering and technical disciplines.

Graduate Apprentice

Fields include:

• Civil Engineering

• Electrical Engineering

• Electronics Engineering

• Computer Science / Information Technology

• Mechanical / Automobile Engineering

• BCA

Monthly Stipend: ₹15,000

Diploma Apprentice

Selected apprentices may be posted at different airports and AAI offices across the Northern Region including:

and several other airports and aviation establishments.

The final training location will be decided by AAI and cannot be changed later.

Educational Qualification

Graduate Apprentice

Candidates must have:

• A full-time 4-year Engineering Degree in the relevant discipline from an AICTE-approved institution.

Diploma Apprentice

Candidates must have:

• A 3-year Engineering Diploma in the relevant field recognized by AICTE.

ITI Apprentice

Candidates should possess:

• ITI / NCVT certificate in the relevant trade such as COPA or Stenography.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 26 years (as on 31 March 2026)

Age relaxation will be provided to SC / ST / OBC / PwBD candidates according to Government of India rules.

Eligibility Conditions

Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

• Must be an Indian citizen.

• Must be a domicile of Northern Region states, including

  • Jammu & Kashmir

  • Ladakh

  • Delhi

  • Haryana

  • Punjab

  • Himachal Pradesh

  • Rajasthan

  • Uttar Pradesh

  • Uttarakhand

  • Madhya Pradesh

  • Chandigarh.

• Candidates who passed their Degree/Diploma in or after 2022 are eligible.

• Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training or have more than 1 year work experience after qualification are not eligible.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based purely on merit.

AAI will prepare a merit list based on:

1. Percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

2. Date of birth (used as tie-breaker).

3. Date of passing the qualification.
