3000+ Nursing Vacancies at 19 AIIMS Institutes via NORCET 2026 – Apply Online from 24th July

AIIMS New Delhi has released a detailed notification for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-11) . This is a massive recruitment drive to fill over 3000 vacancies for Nursing Officers at 19 participating AIIMS Institutes across India. Vacancy Details

  • Total Vacancies: 3000+ (Exact numbers will be reported by participating AIIMS before the closing date).

  • Participating AIIMS: Includes AIIMS New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, Nagpur, Guwahati, and 12 other institutes across India. (See full list in the official notification).

Important Reservation Details:

  • Gender Reservation: As per the 4th CIB meeting, 80% seats are reserved for Females and 20% for Males at participating AIIMS.

Educational Qualification

  • Essential: B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing OR GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from a recognized Institute/University.

  • Registration: Must be registered with the State/Indian Nursing Council as a Nurse/Midwife.

  • Crucial Date: All qualifications and registration must be completed on or before 13th August 2026.

Age Limit (As on 13/08/2026)

  • Upper Age Limit: 18 to 30 Years.

  • Relaxation:

    • SC/ST: 5 Years

    • OBC: 3 Years

    • PwBD: 10 Years (Total max 56 years in some cases)

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a two-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) :

  1. Stage 1: NORCET Preliminary

    • Qualifying Exam. Results will be used to shortlist candidates for Stage 2.

    • Duration: 90 Minutes.

    • Questions: 100 MCQs (20 GK & Aptitude + 80 Nursing).

    • Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks per wrong answer.

    • Qualifying Percentile: UR/EWS (50), OBC (45), SC/ST (40), PwBD (5% relaxation).

  2. Stage 2: NORCET Mains

    • Duration: 180 Minutes.

    • Questions: 160 MCQs focused on Nursing Skills and Case Scenarios.

    • Negative Marking: 1/3rd marks per wrong answer.

    • Qualifying Percentage: UR/EWS (50%), OBC (45%), SC/ST (40%), PwBD (5% relaxation).

Final Merit List will be prepared based on Stage 2 (Mains) scores. Tie cases will be resolved using a detailed merit resolution process.

How to Apply for AIIMS NORCET 2026?

  1. Visit the official AIIMS examination website: www.aiimsexams.ac.in.

  2. Register/Login using your One Time Registration (OTR) ID. Using a different ID will result in rejection.

  3. Fill out the online application form carefully with all personal, educational, and category details.

  4. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and left thumb impression as per the specified guidelines.

  5. Pay the application fee (if applicable) using online payment options.

  6. Submit the form and do not send any physical documents to AIIMS. Keep a printout of the application and payment receipt for your records.
